Chris Wade is a town and city centre regeneration specialist who runs his own consultancy, the People & Places Partnership. Chris is the author of the Local Government Association’s national Revitalising Town Centres Toolkit and an Experts Panel member of the government-backed High Street Task Force.
Access, travel and parking have long been an important part of Chris’ work to revitalise town and city centres and he has long cooperated with the BPA to connect ‘parking to place’. Chris is currently working freelance for the BPA to develop its Park Active scheme. Park Active is an innovative and simple concept integrating effective parking management with active travel. Park Active involves a modal shift from car to walking or cycling to complete the last 10-15 minutes of a journey.
